Treading Water, Barely Floating... in 2013

I started an entry about Liam's party, but i'm just not into it right now.

Liam is down for a nap already and it's only 10:15am. Joshua is laying down on the couch, nose running, watching Mickey. Neither of the kids really slept last night, and today they both have runny noses and just seem kinda "out" of it. :/

I haven't heard back about that job yet. I actually called my friend to check in yesterday and he was surprised i hadn't gotten a call for an interview yet, so he'll be checking in for me. So, waiting...

Josh is down doing mechanic/sidework for some cash. It's not helping much, every little bit that goes into the bank either goes straight to an overdue bill or right to overdraft fees. It's a never ending drowning feeling. But, in small good news, the guy he's doing the sidework for asked him if he'd be interested in being hired on with their company. So, he'd be quitting the job he has now -- roofing. The new job would pay a lot less, but it would be STEADY work. No days off due to weather. No layoffs for half the year (or more). Steady work, plus being on call in his off hours, which would probably mean they would supply a cell phone, too. So, he's there today to talk about the details of it, and as long as it would pay more than he makes on unemployment, it would be a good thing.

I may have also given him my jazzed up resume too, to see if they might have any openings with anything i could do. I do so much, anything from administrative stuff i've done before, to obviously 10 years of experience with management, sales, and customer service. Plus running my own small businesses. A little web design. Dabbling in photography. And of course, my degree in Marketing. We'll see.

For now we're just treading water, praying that things start to look up. We just really need to make a mortgage payment, house/car insurance payment, and get the kids medical insurance. Those are the three things that are plaguing us right now.

P.S. how do i post pictures on here??

Joshua has speech therapy in a bit. I'll do an update on that and our first/second week of preschool soon :)
