Over the last couple weeks my life (along with everyone else’s on the planet) has changed. Yet there is still much to be grateful for. Looking outside the neighbors’s wisteria is in full bloom, the birds are singing, none of these seem concerned…
- The number of books I have to read. They are not only a source of entertainment but stimulates my mind.
- My studio and being able to escape the news. That I have several works in progress and several in queue
- The irises are blooming. They are beautiful and cheerful and unaware of the craziness in the world. They just keep doing what they do.
- That we are still able to go and check on my 93 year old stepdad and make sure he gets a decent lunch.
- For a good night sleep last night. The previous night Aine was trembling due to the thunderstorms.
- While I am disappointed that the art shows that the I entered have been cancelled, I am grateful that every show I entered accepted at least one of my paintings.
- Since I don’t watch TV, I’m grateful for YouTube videos. There is a wealth of comedy, inspiration, music, tutorials on everything under the sun, etc.
- For the extra time to contemplate what is truly important to me. I’m trying to stay centered. I’m not completely there but able to be more than not.
- Music. Whether it’s in my head or on the radio. Whether I’m trying to sing a tune or trying to change a chord progression faster on the guitar or even getting my fingers to corporate in coordination.
- That while I didn’t reach my 10,000 step goal today, I did get 250 steps for 10 consecutive hours.
