Unalienable Rights in Life After 60

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
Unalienable means not transferable to another or not capable of being taken away or denied. But our interpretation of this phrase can mean different things to each of us.
If all men are created equal, why are blacks (African Americans) treated poorly in the South?
Why are the rights of Gays and Lesbians challenged? It goes back to the interpretation of the phrase.
What rights? Life, no one but our creator can give or take life. Oh but then there are those exceptions. Suicide, Lethal injections and the like. Liberty, to do what we want when we want. Add it that the exceptions that go against our laws. And the pursuit of Happiness. What makes me happy may not make you happy. The lines have to be drawn somewhere.
What happens when my rights are infringed upon because of someone elses? Suddenly things are not as black and white. The majority rule may not be in line with my convictions.
