Harbingers of Spring in And So It Goes

We’ve had our few days of winter here with nighttime lows in the 50s and daytime highs in the mid to upper sixties. First harbingers of our Florida Spring have just been spotted walking c down the street. A neighbor took this photo yesterday. I love the Sand Hill Cranes so much. We have to be vigilant drivers as the cranes have no idea about the cars as they leisurely cross our streets. We wait for them to cross in front of us with smiles and gratitude that they are a part of our daily lives.

Aww, I love the chicks!

Here we just have geese.

Chicks! Sorry the adults scare the dogs but one does understand why. As I tell my cats all the time, be grateful you don't go outside. Its a rough and tumble world out there.

Your reply gave me great enjoyment. The dogs had no clue why I was LOL-ing.

Sandhill Cranes were not common in the 1950s and 60s, hunted almost to extinction. Environmental allowed them to start to come back. The birds seem to have zero understanding of cars, challenging drivers out in the country.
