I've got lots of weeding to do. My backyard is just chock full of them. I have no grass, per se, just a bunch of patches and weeeeeds. It's a "desert landscaped" yard, where it's just a bunch of gravel, dirt and a few half dead bushes. If they don't jack the rent up (when looking at trulia.com, I discovered the house next door to us was on the rental market for $350 more a month than what we're paying for), I can see us staying for the next few years. The backyard has loads of potential and I really want to utilize that space better. We're talking some form of swing set, a dedicated sandbox (instead of them digging around in the gravel/dirt), a strip of astro turf (soooo expensive, so it wouldn't be a huge patch) and, maybe next year, a hot tub or something.
In the meantime, I'm trying to keep the bushes alive and get it straightened up with blood, sweat and tears. Tears, mainly, from allergies. Boy howdy, are my allergies ever awful right now.
I've got two lapghans done for Christmas. Working on another, and have at least three more to make for Justin's side of the family. Not sure what I'm doing for my family, but I'd like to get that figured out well before the holiday season is upon us. That way, I can actually relax and enjoy the festivities, instead of scrambling for some last minute half-assed present.
One can hope.
