So I have hit a huge speed bump in the relationship. The man is still amazing, wonderful, pretty much perfect for me. When we first started dating I knew about his work schedule. Pretty demanding, but when you first date somoene you typically see them 2-3 times a week. Well, now that I have crossed the line of "like" and "love" him now I cannot help but imagine our future together. Marriage, kids, house...etc. Well, heres the speed bump---during the week his work shift is from 3:00pm-1:00am. I work during the week from 7:30am-4:00pm. We NEVER see eachother during the week. Just on the weekends. Now, I know some of my friends see this is as a blessing......get your own time during the week, get to have fun during the weekend.
But, I want to build something with this man. I feel with our work schedules I would simply build my life "around" him instead of "with" him. He has informed me the shift will not be forever, but he didnt advise me when it would stop either. (im assuming that means a few years) It has only been 3 months of us dating. I know I love him (despite whom may say that is too soon to fall in love). I just need to know.........should i push forward and hope i can deal with this. Or should I leave now when the relationship is early????
