Valentines Day in Life After 60

The third most procrastinated day for men. What is it about the male species that causes us to wait until Feb 14th to order flowers, pick out a card, and try to make dinner reservations? And FYI, women do not find those last-minute jesters romantic.
In my 10 years of single life, I have learned some hard but valuable lessons. If you wait till the last minute to acknowledge a holiday, you are, by all accounts, inconsiderate. Women do not want to be an afterthought. Oh, heck today is Valentine’s day! Unless you have been in a coma, the day shouldn’t be a surprise. But men being men, we don’t pay attention to much if it doesn’t appeal to us.
So, to all of you who are waking up this morning to realize it’s going to cost you $120 for a dozen red roses that will wilt and die, and the card selection at Walmart, like their shelf checkout, leaves much to be desired, I say, foreshame! And if you fail in your quest, I hope you have an extra bed or a nice comfy couch, cause it’s about to get cold up in here!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

I find 'last minute jesters' appealing, if not romantic.

There are few absolutes and fewer exceptions!
