Again, the snow plows are busy in the neighborhood. There is a strip mall across the lake. The plows come early to get done before business hours. The access to the mall also leads to Starbucks… I’ve heard this is their busiest store in the Metro, and I believe it. Long, long lines to the drive-up most all day and half the night, day after day after day. So the street and parking lots must be kept snow-free! Myself, I am not a fan of Starbucks. To me, it tastes bitter and much too strong. But that’s me. Also, I can’t afford it. It takes most of our money to pay the rent and insurance.
Yesterday we attended a funeral for a first cousin of Bob’s. She lived here in Littleton, and although we were somewhat aware that she was in the Denver area, we didn’t realize she had been very close by the whole time we’ve lived here. She was lots younger than Bob and we never really knew her. Got the news that she had passed the night before and decided we should make the effort to drive the few miles over to a funeral home which we have been to before, just to show support and concern for her brothers whom we knew much better.
Anyhow, the brothers were very appreciative that we came. One of them lives in Wyoming and the other came from his winter home in Texas.
Of course it was snowing like crazy when we left home, but slacked off about half way to our destination. Snowed off and on all the time we were there, but was warm enough to not stick to the streets. Wet and messy on the way home, but only very light snow. The sky is heavy again this morning and we’ll probably have more SNOW!
