I try to do little things for strangers like buy their lunch from time to time. The reaction is one of shock and surprise. I am already doing something different this year with my acts.
Back in December one of our secretaries husbands passed away from cancer. I know the first few days everyone was there for her but as the days become weeks and the weeks become months people return to their own lives. So with her first Valentine’s Day coming up, I had a gift from https://www.bottleoftears.com/ sent to her anonymously. Then I had a dozen lavender roses set to deliver on the 13th. Those too are anonymous.
True I may never know if it made a difference, but it is the act, that she knows someone is thinking about her. After all, it’s only money, I can’t take it with me, and perhaps I brought a smile to her.

I think that is a wonderful idea.
