Hit ‘post’ on a story I’ve rewritten a dozen times. Immediately, my eyes find the one typo that survived every single edit. It’s just sitting there, bold and obvious, in the second paragraph. It feels like a tiny, mocking gremlin I’ve been feeding for weeks without knowing. Does this happen to anyone else? You become so immersed in the flow and the bigger edits that your brain just auto-corrects the small stuff… until it’s public. The pursuit of the perfect draft continues, I guess.
