I was born in a very conservative environment. The religion was almost like a family that you got to have from around the world (thats how tight knit). Most of the family is of that religion, which made it easy not to see the truths of the “world” like they say. There are several sins out there, correct? murder, adultery, etc, but of course sexual immortality. If one were to be committed, one would become “disfellowshipped”. meaning..absolute no communication with the “family” you grew up with, limited communication with blood family (no public dinners and public celebration parties like family member funeral dinner, family member baby showers, graduation, ehm you name it)

well I got disfellowshipped over having relations with a girl (double sin: same sex and sex before marriage). A few years before that happened my father had gotten disfellowshipped with that same girls mom.

Keep in mind he was the main “priest”
