Book Description
In some cases, sometimes alot of cases, the most annoying thing about dating any guy, not just my guy, is that once they get into themselves, into their own passions, stresses, deadlines, dedications, unless they’ve got two hearts and two heads, you’re (we’re) out. That’s it, really. We’re just out. We’re on the shelf, to be later played with, back in the box, on the back burner.
A perceived fact: this is worse with musicians. As creative, passionate beings, with one track brains, all their energy goes into their first love.
I tried to be part of that first love. Multiple times, when i first met Dean. I learned very quickly that you shouldn’t base a relationship on a song. Why would you pin some thing so important on something last lasts three minutes?
Well, honestly, our “jam sessions” didn’t usually get even that far. Take that to mean anything you like.
Falling in love with a rock star was never going to be smooth.
All if this actually happened, and is still happening, by the way. Names and places are changed, but its all real. I’m hoping anyone out there who is struggling to appeal to, appease or be pleased by their muso muse will perhaps take a note. Or give some?
