The article is devoted to the problems of improving the methodology for analyzing the efficiency and quality of transport services provided to passengers on suburban bus routes in accordance with the modern requirements of the management system. The purpose of the study is to provide practical recommendations to motor transport enterprises, following which they could improve the level of services provided to passengers on suburban bus routes, as well as to provide a structured approach that will allow transport organizations to respond objectively and reasonably to requests for new needs in passenger transportation. The paper investigates the peculiarities of the activities of passenger motor transport enterprises and the organization of passenger transportation in suburban traffic, which is taken into account when developing a methodology for analyzing the efficiency of core activities and the quality of passenger service. To comprehensively assess the quantitative and qualitative indicators of transport services, a methodology for analyzing the efficiency of transport services is proposed. According to the requirements of the passenger service quality system, it has certain requirements related to the understanding of all processes by the staff, their correct application, provision of necessary resources, satisfaction of passengers’ requests and expectations, impact on the environment and the needs of society, and prevention of negative situations rather than their elimination after they occur. As a result, this approach allows to reflect the level of transport services both through the prism of the enterprise’s efficiency and the quality of transport services. Thus, the results of the study are of practical importance in the application of this methodology in the practical activities of motor transport enterprises, which will allow obtaining the necessary information for management in modern economic conditions.
