So I’ve been a CNA for almost right years now and started working at a new hospital three months ago on an orthopedic unit. I actually kind of like working here but I just really don’t like being a nursing assistant anymore, in fact I don’t think I like working in healthcare. Nurses talk down to us like we’re nobody important until their patient shits themselves. I know my main job is to wipe ass for a living but I’m also a Phlebotomist and BLS certified with AED.

As I’m at work I tell the nurse who is having difficulty drawing blood from a central line that lab can always come do a stick of your unable to get blood return. She tells me, will if rather not have to call them cause they’re shirt on staff. Me being a Phlebotomist I tell her that I could do it. She cut me off so fast, it’s really not your role as a CNA. Well bitch if you want your fucking blood drawn in the next thirty minutes then I’m your only option. Don’t fucking disrespect your CNAs!!!
