Book Description

Communication ........when I hear this word, some of the things that flash in my brain are people talking, sharing, story telling and of course interviews (I have this image of a young woman in a black suite taking my interview).

But sometimes I take a step back to think how much we have evolved as human beings and the evolution of our communication. We started off with merely making strange noises to pass the message across and here we are today speaking thousands of different languages which can be spoken, written and read.

We even have a granular view of the usage of words to construct a sentence that can lead to an emotion ....it gets even more granular when these emotions can be for communicating happiness, sadness, humor, etc., But, my question is why only humans evolved to be such an amazing communicators or is it just that we have not evolved enough to understand the communication of other life forms well?

What is it ?

Even among us some of us are too good at communication to an extent that they are making a living out of it while others suck at it and term themselves as introverts to feel good about themselves. This says that amount of impact it causes to an individual and how it sets up a construct for the society. Some people are great at this so they could persuade millions of people to cause wars, build cities, kill people and so on.

So, I guess my question is, does the real power lies in effective communication or is it just more than that. Hitler had committed horrific crimes but how could he persuade entire Germany to go by his words. Where is the real power ? How could he convince his men to kill other human beings.

I’m always intrigued by this and couldn’t help but wonder if there is a spiritual tangent that makes some people naturally impactful.
