Book Description
In a sense, I don’t like to use the word critical, because it implies something negative. Interestingly, there are quite a few different definitions of critical. The one I think is most accurate, in this case, is “using careful judgment”.
I feel like, in our current political climate, people tend to accept what they read, as long it confirms their biases, and sometimes when it doesn’t. If they don’t accept it, they may reject it simply because it doesn’t support their biases.
Really trying to research something, and/or to reason it out before coming to a conclusion, is a lot less common.
I want to believe what is true, not what is not true. Therefore, I question things that seem questionable, and I also seek further info before making conclusions. Of course, in some cases, critical thinking just involves simple logic.
