Shooting range, tax time and overall improvements
I took the girls to the range last night. I still don't understand half of what goes on in a target practice. Mei is too small, and has zero interest, but CC was chomping at the bit to get in the...
Spring, I know you're out there somewhere
My 40 bags in 40 days project has helped motivate me. I'm trying to get and stay motivated at work, which can be difficult when you work alone. Frankly, I like working by myself, but it can be a ...
More 40 bag stuff
I'm keeping up with the 40 bag project. Yesterday, I dropped off a big donation at the Salvation Army. Today, I wanted to go there, but I still have so much stuff to go through. It's great to don...
40 bags in 40 days
Is everything looking up because it's almost spring, or because my meds are kicking in? I think it's a little bit of both! I'm doing this "40 bags in 40 days" project. You can google it. Some p...
Looking Up, Kids and eBay
Life is looking up. Second Mom gave me a loan, with hardly a question asked, which is odd for her. I think she's been waiting in the wings to do this for us. I told her I would pay a bit each wee...
Better
I talked with Second Mom this morning. She can loan us the money so I can pay the back tax. So relieved! I may ask her for more so Hero can pay off his small 401k loan, which in turn, gives him a...

Bye, OD
I've been really lazy with my diary entries lately. Maybe that's a good thing? Busy with life and all. I do like to keep up on my daughters' lives and how they're growing though. Thank God for ba...
Book Description
I’m here over at Prosebox to back up more than a decade of musings at OpenDiary. Oh, OD, why am I so afraid you’ll go poof and take all my entries with you? I’ll double up on entires from now on.
LIfe is good. Kids are awesome. CC and Mei both love school. They get homework as of tonight, so I’m not sure if they’ll feel all the love. CC gave me a bit of attitude this morning, but even on her worst day, it’s mild. I do nip it in the bud, because no mom wants the eyeroll from a 10-year-old.
Hero is a love. I’ve had this bout with poison ivy. I dope myself up to sleep, and still wake up in the middle of the night, itching. Hero takes it in stride. He’s finding more stuff to do outside his job and I think that helps. He’s rehabing an old bicycle and reworking a picnic table. Both items were saved from the landfill.
Tonight I’m throwing caution to the wind and trying out a new-to-me recipie for pork chops wrapped in bacon. I cannot wait to get out of the office and get home!
