Book Description

I have been on a health journey since January and have lost 30 lbs however I still have many more I wish to lose. I was reading an online story today about a woman who was the same age, same height and almost similar starting weight as me and she said one thing that assisted was starting an online blog about her journey. Knowing people were reading about her meals, exercise and weekly weight ins held her more accountable.

so here I am :)

My name is Holly and I am the mother to a wonder baby boy who turned one on May 20th. He is everything to me and knowing soon her will be running all over and wanting to join sports and have mommy chase him I know I need to get healthier and in shape. In January I joined the YMCA with my best friend and started using Myfitnesspal to track calories. The first month the weight just melted off. 20lbs gone. However since then its been a struggle - a flux back and forth -really good week and weeks I almost want to just give up. I know I FEEL better when I fuel my body right and workout however lets be honest - sitting on my recliner eating pizza and watching netflix sounds so much more appeals. :)

Right now I am using some Advocare products (spark, catalyst and thermoplus) mostly because I did their 24 day challenge and felt AMAZING during it however I know following the challenge menu for the rest of my life is not possible so now Im learning to make it an 80-20 battle - where I eat healthy, organic food 80% of the time but allow myself some cheats 20% of the time. Some things I need to learn:

 -Desserts are not an everyday thing. They should be a treat that happens sometimes but not every single day
 -Fruits are good but only in moderation.
 -coffee is just empty calories - for me it gives me no real energy and its a delicious treat but again something i need to learn isnt something I should drink everyday
 -I feel better when I move my body so even though being lazy is tempting working out really is key.

so here are my stats right now. My idea will be to post my weigh in every friday.

Starting weight: 229.8lbs
Current weight: 199 lbs
