For these entries, we will focus on events that occur in Hollywood and all things covering entertainment. I’m on the beat for Film and Television, and more particularly for Comic book pop culture. Having a certain amount of my youth spent to studying comic books, I think I’m well equipped to handle this subject and would like to document my adventures through this field as well as make my way in this world eventually in that vein. My beat will be on certain films in this area, such as the new Superman v. Batman movie coming out, as well as some Marvel titles like Ant Man and Avengers: Age of Ultron coming soon. We’ll also be looking, to some length, at television shows adapted from comics, like Agent Carter as well as The Flash and Arrow. I would also like to explore the phenomenon of books becoming films- like the Hunger Games and the 50 Shades of Grey movie.
This is all about what is current and upcoming, so I won’t be delving into past works like Harry Potter or the Lord of the Rings movies. I will only reference other works just to give a bit of context to what we are going into for the weekend. I would like to get a certain handle on the pop culture that has happened with comic books and the audience that just seems so enamored with it currently. It will be quite an adventure and hopefully it can only take me to greater places.
