“He’s gone” in Love and loss

My life hasn’t been amazing. I have divorced parents regular brothers, a sister I haven’t met and my friend status is on the s*** side of the meter. This last September I got a call from one of my best friends hysterical mother saying “ he’s gone, he’s gone.” “ he took my pills I wasn’t at the house” I interrupted her and told her to take a deep breath and speak slower. Then she said in a raspy voice “ ezra is dead” . This was September 16, 2017
