Frustrations in Day to Day

Shitty night at work was shitty. Wrote it out over yonder.

I am still over-caffeinated.

Not feeling fond of people after dealing with customers who are just miserable people taking their misery out on me.

So, I’m going to write this here to get it out of my system.

Look I get why people are saying using the Bible to counteract the biblical verses being used to justify the shit going on right now is wrong. I get it. I really, really do. I also know that we need the majority to fight this. And the only way is to make them hold their assholes accountable. Kinda like how they try to make “moderate” muslims hold the fringe responsible. We need the people who still need the Bible to fight this. If we separate ourselves in that striving for purity in politics, we’re going to lose. AGAIN. Let them quote the things they need to keep each other in check. After kids are no longer caged, separated, and then shipped off to foster care and then fucking lost and many of them probably fenced on the fucking human black market, we can point out the invalidity of using one biblical passage to counter another passage. Right now, I want solidarity over purity. Maybe I’m too emotional. But seriously, those who are still wrapped up in benevolent deity crap need that shit. I’m not going to quote it, but they’re quoting it at each other, and I will back them in that, if it ends the vicious psychopathy we’re letting them get away with.

Ending this quick slide into major dehumanization and Othering bullshit is priority to me. If you’re so invested in debunking the Bible, then remember you’re just preaching to the fucking choir. You can care about both, but your words mean nothing to those that need that crap. Accept that, at the very least.

Every time I see someone post about “But using the Bible to contradict the Bible is bad” tirades I remember what I’ve heard, and know it’s useless, right now.
