Acceptance in Help Me Please

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change
The courage to change the things I can
And the wisdom to know the difference
I have often reminded myself of this because there are just something that can never be changed like people. But when I change everyone else around me changes weather they want to or not and I don’t think they even realize it and that is how people become closer.
I realized that the idiot landlady is always going to be cheap and will wait till things actually becaome not useful and then get it new.
Like yesterday she fixed the toilet. All it needed really was two bolts to hold it steady but she took it off the floor and spent the next three hours cleaning and scraping the hole where the toilet sits. And the stuff around the hole really needs to be reaplaced. She did get some wax so there will be some sort of seal but the edges of the thing where the water goes down is really starting to crumble and a whole thing needs to be replaced but then that costs money.
The she said something interesting and I think I said the wrong thing. She said you would rather someone come and charge you $300.00 to fix this and I said , well if that is what it costs then yes. because I know that who ever fixes it is certified and knows what they are doing and at least it will work better then it did before. She can fix almost everything but then her record isn’t very good because she never does the whole job and something more always needs to be fixed. At least the professional will make sure all the parts are they and replaced..she only does the one part and that is it.
The thing I don’t understand is why some people wait till things don’t work right or just stop working. Why not periodically check the thing and make sure there are no worren out parts and that everything is still all conected and if need be clean the parts of dust and spider webs? I call that maintance. And every few years just get newer things so the parts are easily available and you don’t have to go to more then one place? In fact you get the parts from the comany that makes the thing and you know it will work.
But what do I know…I am just a renter.
Onto something else…
Well, it’s Friday and the weeknd is here for some, but then if you are retired or not working everyday is a weekend…
This weekend my son is comming so that will be nice and I will be able to give him some goodies.
I haven’t seen him in a long while but I figure now is a good time because he has moved in and is more or less settled and liking where he is.
Onto something else…
I did some laundry yesterday and the dryer seems to be working for now. But I am finding that the tempature is hotter and it is on the meduim heat and it shouldn’t be that hot. And today at some point I really need to wash the bedding and put the blankets in the dryer just so all the dust and things come off. if not today there is always tomorrow.
And dinner tonight is going to be left overs and I am not sure if I want anything but will see later.
Well, I need to stop here…

Someone else shouldn't have been charging you for anything because repairs to a rental place are not your financial responsibility. Once again, your entry is a lot focused on her.

yeah I know it's about her but i figure if I write aboiut her enough then I will be able to just accept her for her stupidity and accept her for who she is because once you have someoine like her they never change and they don't think outside the box.
But see the reason said I could have someone other then her fix it is because she is too cheap and doesn't care about her teneants health. So this is something else I need to come to terms with.
