So how are we at this fine hour of almost 3:00 am?
Well I am a bit cold because the heat isn’t on or working and I have hubby’s heating pad on my chair.
But then it’s 27 outside and clear but that is hard to tell because it’s still dark outside.
Well the weekend starts for hubby and I when he gets home from work and today he starts earlier so he will be home sooner. His working satudays is one of those hate love things. The thing I hate is how he has to leave here while it’s still sort of dark and the good thing is he gets to be home in time for his sports on the idiot box. And I get to start to drive him crazy.
But all kidding aside we biot do look forward of this time together and always work as a great team.
Onto something else…
I was talking to my mom last night and I asked her how people get the money to fix things arounf their homes when they own them,and she said they just find the money and do it. So I can’t understand why anyone would not want to make their home the bets place to live and just fix things that need fixing even though they are not really that important or serious to fix? The kand lady said she isn’t going to be putting any more money into this basement suite and I am not sure what that means. Does it mean that only things that have liquid spewing out will get fixed or if things like the stove not working or the fridge not working will get replaced or does it mean that if there is a crack either on the flolor or where there is just coincreat won’t get fixed?
And do you think not fixing things will make the home be devalued when being sold?
But then why not make the home the best you can so others will want o buy it and not have to put any money into it for a lot of years?
I do know that this place needs to be painted and the holes need to be pached up and I do know the wood floor needs to be polished and the serface scapes need to be fixed. Plus the list if stuff I think should be fixed but I know now that most of it won’t get fixed because she doesn’t want to sopend the money or the time fixing things. She says I can move any time.
So now I have the attitude that I just don’t care and if something breaks bad enough itsnot my issue because before it wasn’t so bad and it will now cost more to fix.
But when I do move out I will be telling the rental people to come and have a look and tell her to fix things and if she doesn’t she will be loosing this income but then she said she doesn’t care. I have seen this comercial for home insurance that says people spend about $1700.00 a year fixing things in their home. My question is how to they pay for these things? or do they only fix things that will cause the most damage?
Onto something else…
One of our mountains opened for the season yesterday so that will be good for the skiiers but there is limited runs open and they are making snow so soon it will be fully opened and tons of people there. I don’t really like the snow but it does look really cool on the mountains and at night when the lights can be seen.

I know it’s still early but I am not going to go back to bed just yet I will wait till hubby goes to work and then I will have a nap for a few hours.
So now I am going to stop here…

most good land lords fix every thing and repair and paint walls so it looks nice when a new renter comes.... they should keep up on the repairs unless they have someone that trashes the apartment while they rent...

well I am not like that...I try to keep everything like new and when something breaks I tell her right away and she is the one that drags her heels and not fix things in a timely manner. Now the dryer stopped working and all i did was ask her to see why it's not working and she told me she is on her way out with her stupid dog and now I can't do laundry till the stuff I hung up dries. So I now can't do laundry unless I go to a laundra matt and I just don't have the money for that now...

I think my son and his wife just spent about $25,000 to get the foundation of their house fixed. It is really expensive. I know renting is expensive but I would not want to be living where you are with the mold issue.

If it were any other curcustance and my mother in law hadn't died and hubby's brother didn't need someone to help with the rent i think we would have satyed in the one bedroom we came from and when we moved I told the landlady and she said she would look at it and when she did she said it's not a big deal. I know maintaining a house especially with renters is expensive but it's the landlords responsibility to maintain all of the home....But soon she will have no choice because this place could get demolished and then she will have no where to go.
