I have noticed over the years that when I have rented places that whatever had to be replaced except for government housing I got all used stuff. The time I lived in government housing I got a new fridge, new counters, new sink and new carpets and a new water heater and new curtains and it was perfect.
Here where I am living now I have gotten everything used and it didn’t cost much. Like the stove I got and the fridge I got and the dishwasher I got and the washer. I think the only new thing I got was the kitchen taps. And part of a pipe because it was clogged.
The one thing I don’t mind getting used is a car but it has to be from a dealership because then I know it’s road worthy and has been fixed from the owner before.
The thing I don’t get is why some people get used stuff and wonder why is five years it doesn’t work any more? And then they blame it on the tenants. I have always said if you buy it new then at least it can be fixed for a few years before the warranty runs out and then someone should come and fix it who actually is trained to do these things. My land lady hasn’t called many people to fix things here but she did get someone for the new water heater which really surprised me. And someone came and did her roof. But everything else she has done herself and for the most part it works and is okay but I know that it will break again. And with this mold I am probably over thinking but I saw this TV show where mold was in this really nice house and the family ended up getting really sick and had motor skill issue and brain issues.

This is what I am talking about…

And I am afraid this will happen to me and hubby.

But the thing is not only is mold on the walk in the cupboard but the bottom is warped and I think there is mold under that because I see black on the edges but the land lady told me she isn’t fixing that. But I have a feeling she will not have a choice because there is a law here that says the land lords are responsible for getting rid of the mold.
Today I am going to use full strength Pine Sol and hubby says that works but I have a feeling it won’t. But I still don’t know how to get to the under the bottom part of the cupboard. So I will be asking the land lady.

So today I get to wear rubber gloves and use a sponge and see who is right. And I am not going to be putting the fan into the bathroom because the particles of mold will blow all over the rest of this place. And I don’t think I will be getting rid of this mold with liquids but I will try. And until I know for sure that the mold is all gone I am not going to be using that cupboard.
I did tell hubby that I think he is wrong about any liquid being used to wipe the mold off and I told him that if it does work I will apologize to him perversely and he said okay. I really hate being right but then it shows the smarter people that I do have some brains and I do know what I am talking about.

Onto something else…

Dinner last night wasn’t all that great. Hubby had this frozen Chinese dish and I didn’t have anything because I didn’t feel like eating. But tonight I will be making something to do with ground beef.
I am think this one…

I find this very easy and it doesn’t take much time to do and it’s always good. And hubby also likes it.

For the rest of the day I still have laundry to fold and more to do and I am also thinking of changing the sheets on our beds. And maybe I should also have a shower after wiping up the mold?

Well this is where I am going to stop for now…
Do have a great day…
Be Kind, Be Calm, Be Safe and Behave.

I'd wear a mask while trying to deal with the mold.

The only maks I got is the ones from when Covid was around, but I am not sure that one is good enough? But it would be better then nothing?

I know people who have had to move and to completely demolish their home and rebuild because of mold. The lady almost died because of the mold.
