Do you know all of your relatives and friends phone numbers by heart? Or do you have to go through your address book on your phone? or do you use the old fashioned phone book?
Well I know about three or 4 that I have memorized and the rest of them I need to look up. But surprising to me is that I still know my child hood phone number because my mom still uses it and she has ever since I was two. Then I also know both of my grandparents phone numbers even though they are no longer with me. and everyone else I have to look up.
You remember when we had those rotary phones and we had an address book siting right beside the phone and we hardly ever used it because we knew most of the phone numbers in it? What happened to those days? I am lucky I even know my own phone number let alone anyone else.
Question for you? Do you still have a rotary phone or what I call an old fashioned phone or do you just have a cell phone? I have what is called a land line but when the power goes out it stops working so I also have an old fashioned phone.
here is a question for you all? Why is it no matter how poor or rich we are the one thing we always have is a phone? And if you notice that the other things that should be in your home like furniture or a bed is usually deemed a luxury? And does a phone over ride food? I would think that food is more important then any kind of phone and not having a phone could be dangerous but usually your neighbors have a phone so if you have an emergency you can always use it. I wonder if communication is really that important and if people would really care if they didn’t talk to you or see you? It’s funny how life really is…the older we get the less we care and the more we want to just be alone. I actually prefer to be alone and only have one or two people around me at any given time.

Onto something else…
Well, my bathroom leak got fixed yesterday so now I need to wait for my new fan so I can air out the cupboard and get rid of that mold smell. And then I need to dry up the hall way because stupid me and stupid mother in law used water on the wood floors so that will have to be a thing for a long while. But I have noticed that the fan does work because some of the spots are now a lighter brown color.

Onto something else....
The one thing I really don’t like is when you have a jug of milk and there is less then half left and it goes sour. And that is when you need to use it. So now we have no milk till we do some grocery shopping which could be this weekend. So anything that I make i can’t use milk. But then sometimes water is just as good.
Question? Are you any good at making substitutions for stuff that you don’t have? I am slowly learning because there is an internet full of information and will answer all your questions. But sometimes asking people is better because they have actually done it and they know it works.

Onto something else....
Well I still haven’t decided what is for dinner so I will wait till hubby wakes up and ask him what he thinks he wants.
Last night I made my famous spaghetti sauce and spaghetti pasta and it turned out pretty good. and there is some left overs.

Well it’s that time where I need to stop here…
Do have a great day…

I don't understand your floor problem. I have wood floors in the entire house except for tile in the bathroom. I have wood floors in the kitchen. They mopped using water and it doesn't do any harm.

How much water do you use? You are suppose to use a damp mop and I never did and I also used a lot of Mr. Clean.
This is what some say to clean a hard wood floor...

I have hardwoods in most of my house but true hardwood floors would hate water and most likely warp. engineer hardwood is more forgiving, veneer would be ruin in cheap flooring.

Edited

The floors in my house are 80 years old. Oak. Original flooring. I haven't lived here for 80 years obviously but none of the hardwood flooring is warped. I use a damp mop. Wet but not sopping wet. Unless someone is dumping lots of water on the floor and letting it sit I don't see where the problem is.

That is exactly what happened..i didn't know any better and used way too much water and now I have dark brown/black lines on my floor...But I have since stopped using a mop and just sweep the floor.

Jodie toddslife ⋅ September 08, 2022

I think all of us people over the age of 40 have the land line.

I know only a few phone numbers... the cell has made my life easy LOL and yes, I have an antique or very vintage rotary phone, I use it as decor in my antique guest bedroom

Jodie theKat ⋅ September 08, 2022

Is that rotary phone actually work?

theKat Jodie ⋅ September 09, 2022
