Getting up early on a Saturday and leaving your house while it’s still dark out so you can watch the sunrise over Lake Michigan is totally worth it.

You can get some of the best views of the city skyline when you are outside near the Shedd Aquarium or Adler Planetarium. And that is also the best place to get a view of the sunset. Not many people go out there to do this but they should. At least it’s never crowded this way. Anyway, here’s the sunset from out there.
