The views this morning was amazing and we entered Alaskan Time Zone during the night. The temperature is starting to drop, and we reach Tracy Arm Fjord today and I will see my first glacier up close today. I have managed to get nearly 10k steps in every day so far. Not to bad and hopefully I will keep it up when I get back. This day simply rocked. It was one positive experience after another. We won the ship scavenger hunt. I got a trophy that I will cherish forever. 😊 We played Deal or no Deal and won $200, a photo package and a $25 bingo entry for the last day of the cruise. The cherry on top was taking the excursion up Tracy Arm Fjord and to the Glacier. We were right up next to it and the views were like nothing I have ever seen in my life. We were lucky enough to experience several pieces of it cleave off and fall into the water and there were several seals playing around and sunning on the icebergs in the water. On the way back we had a “glacierita” – a drink made with ice pulled from the water and chipped up to fit in the drink. I drank 250-year-old ice. God only know what might be growing in me now. Missed the show because we were so tired that we just ate a quick bite and went to bed. For a little while out on the Fjord I found a little peace and tranquility that I have not know in a long time. I did not want to ever leave that moment. I hate to be cliché but it was life altering if you allowed it to be.
