It was a long flight and a long day so this will probably be fairly short but I told myself I was going to write about the trip every day. I have never worn a mask for that amount of time nonstop. I got to the airport at around 7 thanks to the most amazing friend on the face of the earth. The flight was uneventful and very smooth. The sights before landing were breathtaking and Mount Saint Helen was pointed out in the distance. Seattle is a strange mix of the beautiful and the ugly all rolled up into one. The scenery and the individual people we meet were so great. There was a constant feeling of needing to be on your guard all the time though. There were of course numerous homeless camps even in the nice areas but not a lot of people were asking for money. Pikes Market was cool, a lot of arts and crafts which if we had been stopping on the way home might have been coming with me. I don’t think I could drive here. Bikes and people were everywhere along the market street area and they seemed to have no regard for the traffic lanes at all. Had clam chowder for lunch and skipped dinner. The time change and getting up early was impacting me so I went to be early.
