Substance over Flash in My Therapy Book

In my mind this is the start of the new work year. The week after employee evaluations. I had an excellent evaluation and am more than pleased with the outcome. Now comes the time to double down and really focus on the nuts and bolts of the job. The last 2 months have been all flash so to speak with the meeting and videos and everything that everyone notices. Now for the next couple of months it is down to the grind of the job. Getting things done that no one is even aware of and moving projects ahead, even if at times it seems like they move at a snail’s pace. There are so many moving parts to my job it seems at times impossible to pick a component and focus on it without the others getting in the way. This year’s goal is to change that. Move from task to task only when needed and don’t jump around leaving things almost done. Push contract people to finish projects on time and advance the website and digital signage to new levels. I feel rejuvenated and ready to move to a new level at this job. I hope this feeling lasts.
