Which do you want to hear first? Where did that question originate? All google seems to care about is the question, not the origin of the question.

Daughter’s covid test came back negative. And she found out that she will be paid for the days off work while finding a test site, waiting for the test, and waiting for the test results.

And now the bad news. Mom had a stroke last night while playing cards with her friends. One of them came to get me and I met the fire department over there. The ambulance arrived and loaded her up. The emergency room called at 11pm and said she was being loaded onto a helicopter. Her right side carotid artery was 100% blocked. The surgeon called me at 2am. She said the prognosis for recovery didn’t look good. The ICU nurse called me an hour after that. He wanted confirmation of the DNR. I confirmed that it would be palliative care only, as per Mom’s wishes.

So here I sit waiting on a phone call. There are no visits allowed, but the ICU nurse said they may be able to make an exception for me in this case. Confirmation of that will come by phone call.

I'm sorry too. You've been so good to her and there is only one mother.

I'm glad your daughter is ok - nice = and only right - that her employer paid her for lost time at work.

I'm sorry to hear this. I hope you'll be able to see her.
