Figuring It All Out in DE Unite

Guess we need to get used to the new format.
I was known under a different name on DE, one I don’t wanna make public. I began my DE diary in 2002 under a name that reflected the types of stories I wrote. As I continued writing fantasy stories on DE in an impersonal way, I gradually started mixing in bits of personal life and getting to know people. Eventually, it became all personal life posts and I toyed with changing my name. Others have started new diaries on DE as their lives changed, but that didn’t feel right to me. My past was what it was and the diary provided a seamless place where all that change, heartache, joy, and growth took place. My DE diary was initially public, but when I began writing more personal entries, I made it ALL private due to the past content, and also because there was one person on DE, the one who introduced me to DE, who I knew on real life and I did not desire that person to see any of my life. I had a small group of friends on DE who I allowed to glimpse into my personal life, and with whom I interacted regularly, all in support of one another. Even met a few in r/l, incuding the guy who faked his death.
Hoping that this new home will be just as supportive and non judgemental as DE was.

Yay! And thanks! Tired of all the social media where everyone is so hateful if they dont always agree with you. Our old site was so great in that even people with opposite beliefs and lifestyles supported one another and uplifted one another! It was a refuge.

Thankfully the new format seems light and breezy like DE was.
There was a time when I deleted (After downloading) all my old entries and that's gotta be one of my biggest regrets. The seamless feel was broken so I know exactly what you mean when you talk about creating a new journal.

Sounds like a good time to re-invent! Glad so many of us are venturing over to this site from DE though. I chose to kept my username since people have called me karabeara since I was a kid, so it still fits :)

Julie knew him. (Fallenandhopeless). As a matter of fact, I met them BOTH when they flew to KY ro do some crazy stuff like skydiving.

What I missed a guy faking is own death? Dang. I went private on DE and never journeyed out of my shell. I hope to change that over here, though.

Hopefully you'll love the little Prosebox community. :) So far I haven't found a lot of friends on here but that's ok; I write for me, mostly. But it's always nice to get feedback from people who can see situations objectively, you know?

I am loving it here so far, I feel more inspired to write again. I also love how user friendly the site is.
And I had no idea a guy faked his own death on DE. That's horrible though! Death is not a joke or something to be taken lightly, I hope that guy is long gone and doesn't try to show up here.
