Tomorrow, I will make good on that promise. Last month, a friend of mine ( in the building) drove me over to Steubenville, so that I could go to a church’s food pantry. I gave him $10.00 for gas. After we returned to the building, I mentioned to my friend that if they ever needed anything, I was just a phone call away. They mentioned that they liked cookies, and I said that I remembered that he once told me that he was a cookie monster. Anyway, what I meant by “making good on that promise”, was that I told him that I was going to bake one of his favorites, “wedding cookies”. I call them nut butterballs, which is what they call them in the recipe, but hey, I guess we all have our own interpretations.
I went to the sleep lab, recently. The person whom took care of me during the sleep study told me that, during the night, I stopped breathing 34 times in one hour. Part 2 of the sleep study is not until June. I recently saw 2 different doctors. One was a cardiologist, the other, a neurologist. Both physicians determined that I now have short-term memory loss. The cardiologist ordered blood work to determine if I have the Epstein-Barre Virus. The neurologist ordered blood work, as well for many, many things. You should see the lab requisition slip! Health-wise, I have a lot on my plate. Finally, I now have a case manager, assigned to me from the behavioral health agency. My therapist has retired. He will be missed. He practiced at the agency for over 30 years, and was an excellent and caring therapist. When all of the above is over with, I am definitely going to make an appointment with a podiatrist, because I am getting these hard bumps on my toes. I am a type 2 diabetic, and need to be hypervigilant when it comes to a daily inspection of my feet. I must go now. Have a good night, and a wonderful holiday weekend! :)
