What with recently seeing my primary care physician, my cardiologist, my physician’s assistant, and my neurologist, it is pretty obvious as to why i have to have bloodwork and numerous diagnostic tests. Tonight, i will be going to the sleep lab, basically to determine the severity of my sleep apnea and also to determine if any of my c-pap supplies need to be updated. My ride for the sleep study will be picking me up at 8pm. The sleep study is to follow, at 8:30pm. I understand the importance of not taking any naps, today and of limiting myself to one cup of coffee. The reason for those measures is because after the sleep study technicians hook me up to some equipment, they want you to fall to sleep easily, in order to begin the sleep study. I will be discharged at approximately 5:30 am, at which time, my ride for the return trip will be waiting for me.
The cardiologist ordered blood work, to determine whether or not I am carrying the Epstein-Barre virus. He has already diagnosed me with short term memory loss. I had a visit with a neurologist on this past Monday. She ordered a battery of tests, including testing me for Alzheimer's Disease. She stated that I am actually rather young to have that disease, however she is hoping that, through ordering blood work and other tests she will be able to determine my diagnosis, or even multiple diagnoses. The cardiologist ordered what is named, a measured nocturnal oxygen saturation test. I am getting very sleepy. I need to try to stay up all day, so I will need to cut short this entry, and will keep you updated on the latest discoveries in relation to my health. Have a good day, everyone! :)
