Scale and Binge in Ramblings

I’m thinking about breaking up with my scale. My scale didn’t move despite working out like crazy and watching every single thing I put in my mouth. It is maddening. I woke up and weighed myself and when I saw the SAME exact weight as the day before, I just felt something mentally snap inside of me.

Then I spent the entire day binge eating.

Then I felt bad. Both physically and mentally.

I think I’m going to stay off the scale and only weigh myself once a week. Focus on sticking to the game plan.

I weigh the same amount today as I did yesterday. That happens to me 1x or 2x per week. It's normal. Hang in there. Instead of binging focus ...and I mean focus...on how badly you want to see it go down tomorrow. Do what you are supposed to do and try again. Hugs. Ok. Now that you binged, erase what's behind you and focus on doing the right things today. The wonderful thing about time? It's a new day...the sun is rising here (although it's pouring down rain, so we won't see it today). It's a new day. Start over and congratulate yourself for starting over.

One of the things I have found is that we are so mean to ourselves. We treat ourselves worse than we treat anyone...even those we dislike. It's crazy how terrible we can be to ourselves. We don't congratulate ourselves enough. So start over and congratulate yourself. Make a new pact with yourself today. You can do want to right? Big Hugs. You got this.

Oh....and by the way....congratulations on starting anew!

You're so sweet and amazing. Thank you so much for the encouraging note :) Today is a new day and I'm ready. I wrote out my goals on a daily spreadsheet and I'm just going to focus on them and try weighing once a week so it doesn't get me down to see fluctuations.

Awww...thanks! So are you! You are taking on - head on - something that so many people are afraid to take on. It's not easy to do what you are doing. It's just - NOT. Food is everywhere. It's a part of everything we do in our lives. It's such a part that people forget why food is on the planet for us - to nurture our bodies and keep them healthy - keep us fueled for the day, etc. So go you! Keep on being an amazing yourself. :)
