Why is it that adulting is often so frustrating? Let me tell you about the boring adult things I did tonight.
-
Went on mychart to request a refill for my birth control. No refills apparently available even though it’s supposed to be a year-long prescription and I’m not supposed to go in for my annual exam until the end of November. Wrote message to my primary care provider requesting refill (as I couldn’t do it from the medication page. Can’t be too logical, right?), also requesting that it be sent to a different pharmacy as I no longer have health insurance from my school so no longer have to use their irritating pharmacy.
-
Received my new health and dental insurance information. My name is incorrect on all of them. ::headdesk:: Tried to navigate health insurance website to figure out how to straighten it out. Was told to contact my employer.
-
Sent email to HR person for the company that owns the veterinary practice I work for describing problem.

Received check card for HSA bank account I recently signed up for. Letter from them said I could access my account by going to the website on the back of my debit card. There is no website listed on the back of my card. Go to HSA bank website and click member log in button with hope of being able to set up an online account. Enter in some info. Get told I need to call a phone number to set up an online account. Somehow seems counterproductive.

Open student loan letters. One tells me how much interest I’m accruing. Ignore, too depressing. One says that my request for income based loan repayment has been approved. Huzzah! Monthly amount to be paid is about 1/8th of what I was told I’d be paying with my projected yearly income. Think they just used my income for this year up to when I applied rather than what I told them my projected annual income was to be. Go with it and hope it doesn’t bite me in the ass later. Pay bill for September.
I know how to party on a Monday night!
In other news, I successfully drew blood from a rabbit today, which I’ve never done before. No one else working today had any tips so I kind of winged it and it worked out, so that was cool. Helped that it was a pretty nice, calm rabbit.

I'm in the middle of trying to set up my insurance for my new job, too. It is the worst.
