Are we doing DePhoMo this year?
Since I’m out of work for a month, maybe I’ll get around to finishing those 29 entries I have in drafts.
In the 90’s, I remember my Grandpa trying to make a long-distance phone call to Alabama (from Virginia). He was having lots of trouble with it.
Nowadays, long distance is completely free. In fact, if you have a cell phone, you don’t have to dial ‘1’ before the area code anymore.
What changed? Was long-distance always a sham?
There was a customer at the store I used to work at. She’d obviously had a lot of plastic surgery. You know, the plump lips on an older woman that just look…unnatural? Yeah, she had that.
I wonder how she used to look. I wonder if she’s satisfied with how she looks now. I wonder if she still thinks it was worth it.
