I'm beat. Yesterday was long.
I spent most of the morning getting Thomas' car taken care of and cleaning the house. I folded a massive mountain of clean laundry the night before and got it all tucked away in the morning. I helped set up the area for the ceremony, then met with J and dropped off Thomas' car to pick up when he finally rolled back into town. J and I went to Kohls, and I found another pair of the Levi's I'm absolutely in love with. Go me, I misread the Kohl's Cash and couldn't use it. Ah well. Credit cards are magical and I needed the jeans. I got a black version of the cardigan, too. Very pretty!
We were running late to get ready, and didn't get to J2's place until 530. She worked a bunch of magic on our hair and we did our makeup on our own.. Here's me and J while we were getting ready..
I'm the one on the right. The pic really doesn't do my hair justice, though.. J2 did such a great job!! I really love what she did to it. I couldn't manage it without an extra arm and eyes in the back of my head, but I loved it. We had fun, and I got a lot of compliments. I also wore some hellish 5" stripper heels, and my feet are reminding me strongly why I don't wear those for extended periods of time. They look amazing, but they HURT. J and I ended up being by ourselves at a table, but we had a lot of fun just b.s.ing together. We don't get to see each other enough! I hope we get some more time together next semester. Unfortunately, I managed to leave my keys with her, so I'll have to send Thomas later to fetch them.. lol.
Oh yeah! Thomas came home. I'm kind of pissed that he won't be able to play patient for me on Tuesday, because it kinda leaves me in a bind trying to rush to find someone. I called my cousin, but haven't heard back from her...
Wait... wait for it.... getting a phone call now....
YES!! I have a patient!! Ok, Thomas is off the hook. This is why I believe in helping people out. The girl who is coming in to be my patient was one I helped out when she needed someone to paint nails and do a facial on for her cosmetology exam. Karma, baby. Give and ye shall receive.
Anyway! Thomas came home, and it is wonderful to have him home (and to have someone else to deal with the pets, and the laundry, and everything else...) lol. I missed him like crazy, annoyance aside.
Ok, I'm in a good mood now. Time to crank out some homework. <3
