And today Gary Glitter gets 16 years for sex abuse of teenage girls way back in the past. He had been done a number of time before - but a lot of the historic abuse cases have arisen out of the dam which broke when the history of Savile’s activities came to light - and many victims found it possible to speak out,
While Glitter dies In jail (he is in his 70s) Savile looks up from hell and laughs very loudly since he got away with it. They cannot touch him now.
And there is still the ongoing investigation into Cliff Richard.

Bye the bye - the nearest I came to being abused when a lad was when an old gentleman with whom I had some acquaintance wondered if I would like to be photographed in my school uniform. I declined his kind invitation.

Meanwhile I have a bad back. It is so easy - just bending to open a drawer and I felt the pull on a muscle - cannot tell which one but it is right across my lower back. It is better when I am walking - but if I try to get up from the sofa I have to lever myself out. Now, I would not be unhappy if it was the result of a convoluted sex position - but getting a pair of socks - come on!

Ad I am galloping through the Fry book - there is nothing worse for your partner in bed (well there might be) if all of a sudden you start laughing out loud over a section on the Price of Wales and Diana coming to tea at his house in Norfolk. Or an anecdote about the Queen Mother - it was well known that the Royal Family like(d) lavatorial humour - and Fry and his mate Rowan Atkinson (Mr Bean) were asked to provide entertainment at a charity event for the gin sozzled old Queen (not Fry). They were worried their humour might be too broad - but her private Secretary assued them it would be OK ‘as long as there were no fuckings or cunts’.

And I liked this

interesting about the sense of humor

I know none of the names you've provided in the beginning, so I will remain aloof.

Walking is always easy on the back :)

Jimmy Savile was a DJ on tv etc from the 1960s and also raised money for hospitals, ran marathons, not married - we now know he assaulted hundreds of women from 6 to 40 over just about 50 years - it all came out when he died - and Gary Glitter was a glam rock singer. You will have to get up to speed on UK popular culture!!!

I don't need to get up to speed with UK pop culture if it's anything before the 21st century :P
