Poland in 2025

Made it to Poland on my virtual ride! I’m going to be there for quite a while before I reach Slovakia.

It’s a beautiful 80-degree day here today and dry for Florida.

We went to Publix so I could get some grapes and blueberries, along with one of those single-serve Piña Coladas by Chi-Chi’s.

Before that, we stopped at Walgreens to pick up the prescription vitamin D his doctor ordered for him. Since he eats mostly junk, he doesn’t get much vitamin D from food, and he’s not outdoors much.

Rhonda thinks my problem sounds more like cystitis than a UTI and recommended daily cranberry juice, Azo, and avoiding certain foods and drinks that irritate the bladder. The thing is, cystitis is a form of a UTI. Even a good friend with a medical background said it’s just a fancy word for an infection. We both still wonder if something else is going on, which is why I’m keeping my urologist appointment. Dabbing a bit of hydrocortisone down there helps when the burning really gets to me. Between that, watching what I eat and drink, and taking ibuprofen, I should be fine until I see them. I knew it was more than just atrophy because I’ve been keeping myself well-lubed.

I also disagree with what the experts say about “too many” UTIs. Supposedly, two or more within six months or three or more within a year is considered excessive. But come on! I hadn’t had any since the ’90s, and now I’ve had four in just 3.5 years. That’s way too much for me personally. Maybe it’s just menopause, but I need to rule out stones.

Did a dipstick test earlier, and at least the leukocytes have gone down.
