Hobbies in New_book_01

I saw this bit of human interest somewhere else on the internet. This is the result of a survey where women were asked if a certain hobby made a man more attractive or less attractive.

The most attractive hobbies:

So, no real surprises on the “least” list, but on the first list I was a little surprised at some of them. Blacksmithing? Archery? Is it the Middle Ages again? haha. But then I asked H about these, and she basically agreed with them all. Blacksmithing and woodworking and such are the guy using his hands and getting dirty and making things etc., she agreed. So I’m going to have to start making swords now, obviously! Maybe there’s a reason Smith became the most common surname?

I have reading, playing an instrument, writing, and if you count fitness/working out with swimming then I’d have that one too. I swim laps at the gym sometimes, but not primarily. (Why swimming specifically…?)

So I suppose I’m doing OK. The only one of the negatives I’d touch at all would be the cigar, I appreciate good ones, but that’s a 2 times a year thing. All the time, obviously it would not be an attractive interest.

I was a little surprised at gardening too, for a man. Why would that be an attraction - or does this go back to the getting hands dirty and creating something thing? I suppose the good ones are mostly creative activities.
