I am going to repot the plant I just bought (a leaf of it showing in the window in back) and the kids decided to play in the dirt before I do. Very natural for them so I let them. Here, go act like birds :-)

I’ve always wondered if you dabbled in pot 🥁

My only question left is: does it call a kettle ‘black’ also?

Okay okay I’m going 😆

I fucked up my high school years with pot but ironically never got busted for that. I think my parents accepted that my eyes were always weird looking and I often smelled bad ;-) I did something much more serious with pot in my 20s and fortunately never got busted and feel incredibly lucky I did not. Legal weed is fine but maaaan that shit these days is strong! Old fuck like me cannot handle it and being on prozac would really fuck me up my doc told me. Hope you are having a good day sir! :-)

I’ve just never got into it. I hit a few J’s but where I’m from people were always lacing shit up, so I never trusted anyone. The thing they liked to do in my hood was lace it with crack or cocaine. Had some folks hooked and messed up for life. I wouldn’t smoke a passed around J until I saw the outcomes. It’s just always been super overrated to me, and it really hasn’t done anything for me I couldn’t do for myself.

It’s not only super strong and concentrated now, it’s so overhyped.

But I hope you have a great day too my friend!

I was very naive about it 50 years or so ago. I think the worst thing for me was probably the insecticides in it from wherever it came from. I never knew if hash was hash but it fucked me up. I am glad that the legal stuff can be trusted. I think. I think I once got some hallucinogens that were probably just speed with a fancy name. I am surprised I survived adolescence! (Laughs)

I’m surprised we both did but I’m also glad we both did. It seems to me that these days young people have it mentally harder than we did, just to get by, even though we had it harder some other ways that they do not now. There seems to be a perpetual, feeling of paralysis by analysis, an overload of information and choices to make. I can’t imagine how hard good parents have it today, trying to keep their own children and their selves on all of these paths

You said it so well. Hiding a porn mag as a teen was hard enough and now kids have cell phones to constantly be talking with someone AND looking at porn. Easier to not get caught with a cellphone. But it is day and night with researching a paper. I had libraries and those card catalogs to go through. No tiktok for me - thankfully. I remember my first transistor radio and thought that was so amazing.

No tiktok for me either. I miss windup radios and phonographs. The days when you could sit in a room with an album and a book and that was your new media experience for the week or month. It was a great time. Now it’s just….. vomited all over everyone every minute. ‘Pick me pick me’
