just droppin this link for yall, I’m going to get more involved in mastodon.
I think JoinMastodon.com might be the easiest way to get started. It definitely presents a good selection of instances for a quick and informed choice.
I’m not calling for twitter cancellation or anything. But if you have the time and inclination, make a profile on a mastodon instance. Throw up some posts, try to make some contacts. I urge you to help an alternative social media platform get a bit further. It’s a Good Thing To Do
In short, mastodon functions very much like twitter. But the platform differs structurally because it’s decentralized. It’s important to pick one that more suits you, maybe try a few different kinds. I have a few contacts from an instance for scholars, another for nihilists, just some examples. Whatever you choose, you can still interact with me on tech.lgbt

Looks interesting but I have no reason to add another place to go. I’m thinking about how many sites I’m on and there must be at least 5-6. Might look at it again though to give it a fair shake.
