I watched the film, The Grey last night, and.... in The Musings of a Former Filmmaker Turned Writer

I saw the film The Grey last night, and I’ve seen that film about twice before (because I’m a huge Dallas Roberts supporter), but for some reason, last night, the film stayed with me long after I finished watching it, even until today. I kept and keep thinking about the circumstances that the characters endured throughout the film and how a lack of intervention from God caused a lot of the troubles that the characters went through throughout the film.

Before watching the film yesterday, I was conflicted with my novel writing. I was trying to choose which two story ideas to write my novel on. However, after watching The Grey last night, my choice became crystal clear. I guess that’s why the free universe had me watch that film - again, to give me a sign as to which direction to go into with my writing, so that my writing could impact people out there with its message, the same way the message of the film, The Grey impacted me.

A very well done film. Liam Neeson is truly underrated as an actor. The ending is haunting.
