I miss sharing a planet with that man. Thanks for posting. I didn’t know about the movie.

Thanks for your comment. He was a truly brilliant good man. I had a Russian mother-in-law that had been a slave laborer in Dresden when she was a child. She lived through it, like Kurt. So many live through hell and are better for it. They rise they shine with Genius as Kurt did. Then we have those that bitch and whine because of no freedom due to wearing a mask. I wonder what Kurt what have thought of trump and the USA's reaction to this pandemic. Such rich material for a writer.

I’d love to hear what Mr. Vonnegut and George Carlin would have had to say these last few years.

My local library had a promotion where you could get a golden library card if you read a 100 books in a year. I read every KV book that I could check out back then. I’d even pack books in my suitcase when I’d travel for work, in the before-Kindle times.

My favorite quote from him is: “We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.”

This is the first time I have encountered you and I believe you are a beautiful brilliant person. I just told my brother-in-law that the right-wing here has made me remember Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 too well. Vonnegut and Carlin? Oh shit. Great! Robin Williams to the mix? Maybe Robin would be too manic for them both. It is a joy with sadness to remember such Genius in this world. It is inspiring that with all the Boeberts and Greenes in this world, the world has spawned such brilliance. Pardon me for my politics, it is much in mind and life these days. Thanks again for your insights.
