I found this recipe in a cookbook.

2 cups sifted all-purpose flour 3/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Oven : 375 degrees F.
Yields : 48 cookies

Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Cream butter in mixing bowl. Gradually add sugar; continue creaming until light and fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla extract. Beat well. Blend in sifted dry ingredients, gradually. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees F. until golden brown.
