It was a relatively happy and peaceful Saturday. I avoided any source of unpleasantness or drama. As a good friend on this site commented to me, there is no need to be in the presence of those whom do not bring you goodness. I wholeheartedly agree. I eased into my day, moving through my morning routine. There was a knock on my door. It was a concerned friend. We talked, then went outside and talked some more. After that, I was able to go up to my apartment and give my kitchen, livingroom, bedroom and bathroom a very thorough sweeping. After that, I took a nice long warm bath, then went back outside. This evening, I waited outside with a couple and their grandkids, while they were waiting for their pizza delivery. When it arrived, we all went back into the building. I went home and told them to enjoy their pizzas. :)
Tomorrow, I am going through all of my clothing. I plan to discard or give away any clothing that I no longer wear. That will free up more space in my bedroom, and it will be organized and presentable.
Monday, I intend to give my stove and refrigerator thorough cleanings. After all of this, I should be in pretty good shape, and will have wisely spent my time, this holiday weekend. Weekdays tend to be busier than normal, for various reasons.
For example, Thursday I was paid and had to get on the bus to go somewhere to take care of business, pay my rent, etcetera. Friday, I took the 7:18 am bus up to Walmart, to take care of some business, then caught a bus to the downtown area to buy my cigars, then walked up to the bus stop, to catch another bus back home. Once home, I had to pay some bills, and other things.
This coming week, I have a telemedicine appt. w/ my therapist, my case manager is taking me to pick out a shower seat and lastly, the next day, she is going to take me to do my monthly shopping at the local dollar store. The following week, I go for fasting bloodwork and my annual eye examination. Later in the month, my case manager will take me grocery shopping.
I went out Thursday and Friday because today and Monday the busses are running on a schedule in which there is only one driver with longer than normal wait times.
I am feeling relatively good about things, and I am fairly content.
Happy 4th, my PB readers. Make it a safe holiday! :)
