T-minus one week until my licensing exam.
My daughter has been asleep for about 30 minutes now. This is always a nice time of day. If things go well, I should get the next hour and a half or so to relax a little. And that’s exactly what I intend to do. Once she wakes up, we just need to clean up the living room and her bedroom and put three loads of laundry away—which is actually a relatively light evening these days. And then I have therapy at 7pm tonight.
This morning we went on a play date with Katie, her daughter, and her younger son. Axel wasn’t there because he’s in school. How wild is that? Time sure does fly. The play date was fine. We got there around 11am (thirty minutes late) and stayed until around 12:45pm. The time went by so fast. Next time we really need to arrive on time.
Things feel much better between Katie and me. I think our friendship is going to survive after all.
I’ve changed up my diet a bit for my third trimester. Breakfast is the same as always (eggs, chicken sausage, and yogurt with coffee).
For lunch, I’m back to eating a veggie salad. I just put in a small handful of greens, about 8 slices of cucumber, 8 cherry tomatoes, a half of an avocado, and a diced piece of string cheese with ranch dressing. It hits the spot pretty hard. I also have a blackberry-raspberry mix with about 25 total berries. They’re quite expensive, but also so delicious. Then I also indulge in a small handful of Wheat Thin crackers with Laughing Cow Cheese.
For dinner I’ve been making myself a chicken burrito each night. I put in a spoonful of refried beans, some seasoned ground chicken, sliced olives, shredded cheese, shredded ice berg lettuce, and some sour cream in a whole wheat tortilla. I usually eat two. This also hits the spot pretty hard.
And for dessert—cause, come on, I’m human—I’ve been eating two ice cream sandwiches. They are so good.
My daughter is showing interest in peeing in the toilet now. In the past few days she’s gone twice for my husband and once for me. I guess she just needed it to be on her terms. Regardless, I’m planning on taking her to Dollar Tree in the morning to pick out a basket of prizes for successful peepees and poopoos. I also promised her we could get out the finger paints tomorrow, which is a whole ordeal, and then after her nap tomorrow we’re going to get an oil change for my car. At least that will get us out of the house. I suspect we’ll take a walk down the street to Buy Buy Baby just to browse while they work on the car.
Other than that, I don’t have much to report. Hope you’re all doing well. Until next time <3
