I have a lot of messages to save here, but a lot more has happened.
She picked Dante up from school yesterday, so when I went to get him from daycare, he wasn’t there. I thought maybe she was coming down. She posted a snap of Dante eating wings, and started feeling a little better.
I’m sitting here working and about 9:10, I get a FB message from some guy, telling me he is Te’s friend and can I call him. It scared the crap out of me.
I called, he answered. I could tell by his voice it wasnt bad bad. it was bad though.
He went home with Te. She was so drunk he couldnt get her out of the car, so he left her in the car and took dante into the apartment. He said she disappeared after that and wouldnt answer or return his calls or texts.
I told him I’d be right there for Dante. Dante is in the background asking me to get him.
On the way to my house, Dante told me she was drunk and kicked the glass on her car.
My sisters and mom went to her place to see if they could find her, maybe passed out somewhere. In the meantime, I call CPS. They sent a picture of her windshield and it is cracked everywhere from where she was kicking it.
Dante later told me, she got them pulled over. She said the cop wanted to make sure everyone was safe.
They dont find her, but find Dante’s meds.
I check jail and all the hospitals, call the police and discover nothing. Her phone is off or dead, and she isnt responding to any messages.
CPS accepts the case and come over. I have temporary custody.
She finally shows up as active on FB and starts messaging my sister, Angry. saying what an awful mom I am, that she will get Dante back and leave and I will never see him again. Saying I should have called CPS on me when I “let” Del beat her… (1 time when she was being a drunk, belligerent teen - similar to how she acts now).
My sister reasoned with her about how she just left Dante, how he said to me he thought his mom was dead.
CPS called her and tried to set up a discussion about a light order (whatever that means), but Te either hung up or they got disconnected. CPS will continue to try to reach her and set up a meeting.
For now, he is in my care.
