I just got off the phone with my mom, and it’s been decided: she’s giving me a Sprinkle early in June. Basically, what that means is that me and my family and friends will meet on a Zoom link for about an hour, play a few games, and they can send gifts for Morgan to my condo. Like I mentioned before, most of the stuff on my registry is pretty inexpensive, so I feel good about that. If enough people help out, it could actually help us quite a bit, especially since I don’t get any paid maternity leave and we don’t make enough money to save much at all.
I’m anxiously awaiting the baby yellow maternity gown I ordered on Amazon to arrive. It likely won’t get here until the end of the month, and I’ve decided that, when it does arrive, that’s when I’ll schedule my hair cut and color as well as our family-maternity photo shoot. Oh, I’m also going to order a second, fitted, knee-length dress for me, and two matching dresses for my daughter to wear in the shoot. It’s going to be so cute!
I’m pleased with my progress getting our patio cleaned off. All that’s left to do is to sell a folding table and chairs, wipe down the wicker table, and sweep… and it will be good as new! The next thing you can expect for me to write about repeatedly will be the prep and painting of my daughter’s toddler table. I’m lowkey expecting that to be a bit of an ordeal since I have no idea what I’m doing. Once that is done and all of the furniture is rearranged, I think I’ll shift my attention back to more household cleaning. I finally got our bathrooms looking presentable, which is kind of a big deal! Now if I could just get the kitchen counters, wooden surfaces, and floors clean…
Other things I’m looking forward to are date night next week and Easter next month. And that’s pretty much it. That is my life in a nutshell.
Until next time <3
