Ordinary Day in Staying Connected

So far, today is going better than yesterday. Thank, God.

It was supposed to be my husband’s sleep in day, but after the 4th or 5th time that I had to deal with my daughter overnight, he volunteered to let me sleep in. Have I mentioned that he’s a good man? I wish I had more time and energy to show him. I don’t think he has any idea that I think that.

I got up and made myself breakfast. (I love breakfast so damn much.)

Then, my daughter and I cleaned up all the toys on the floor and I helped her get dressed so she could play outside on the patio while I loaded the dishwasher. We haven’t had this option for months, but I finally cleaned the patio furniture covers and her water table, so it wasn’t such an ashy mess out there. I still need to sweep and wipe down the patio table, but I’ll get to that next week.

Once the dishes were done, we got ready and made our Target run. She got an Easter outfit (a denim romper with baby pink cardigan – gah!) and I got two pairs of maternity pants and some maternity shorts (choir singing!). We also got some snacks and some household cleaning supplies. We came home, had lunch, and she just went down for a nap. Getting her down today was somewhat easier than yesterday. Holding boundaries, you guys, is soo draining with a toddler who is constantly down to test you. So draining.

My only other significant plan for today is to clean out the bathtub after my daughter wakes up, so I feel like we’re actually on track!

I’m up to 19 clients on the calendar each week, which is pretty good. My goal right now is 25, and then after I take my licensing exam I’ll have space for an additional 4 clients. We’ll see what happens.

Until next time <3
